Donna Douglas was a Hottie!!!!!!!!!
Yeah this was done in several shows/movies including removing the rear view mirror and verts were used to show the people more. I think they might have done this with Mannix's Cuda's. When verts were dropped after '71 they converted a '70 Cuda to look like the '72 for that season. Private 'dick's' liked the Plymouth verts...recalling Peter Gunn. There were some shots of neat Mopars on Mission Impossible too. And ya find some in old Elvis movies. On a humorous note remember seeing people driving in flicks and you can see the gear shift lever is in Park? Lol.You notice the Challenger 'vert had low back seats? Not the normal e body buckets. I think they used older seats for the filming so the people in the back seat could be seen on camera.
Yeah, and think he drove a '74 the next season. Final year he drove a Camaro. I think Mannix was knocked unconscious in every friggin episode and he never had issues with concussions...he was one tough dude! And his sport jacket wardrobe was amazing too. Sorry to hijack the post...Jethro wants to go to the CEEment pond! After the 72 season of Mannix,he had a 73 Challenger with a sunroof, and it had lowback seats too. It is the only 72-74 Challenger I ever saw with a sunroof.
Power sunroofs were available on the 1972 Challengers, but not on the 1973-74 models. They likely retained the 1972 sunroof car and just changed out the front and rear items to make it appear as a 73 or 74 model. Since there were no Challengers in 1975, the change over to a different car makes sense. After the 72 season of Mannix,he had a 73 Challenger with a sunroof, and it had lowback seats too. It is the only 72-74 Challenger I ever saw with a sunroof.
I believe their commercials were Chrysler based also. Never missed an episode.
