Casting date on heads

My 70 Road Runner has the original block. Cast date 2/14/70. Car scheduled build date 7/08/70.
The heads that came with the car are 08/08/9. August of 69. Could they be original or is the date too early for the car?

6 months prior to engine, that's pushing it, but entirely possible. You didn't post the build date of your engine. Also there is also 5 months between the engine cast date and the build date of the car. All is entirely possible. Are the heads correct 906's? End of year production, they were always gathering unused parts.

The block cast date is, the car build date is, but the engine build date is not

I would think that that could be correct if there's no reason to suspect that they aren't original. The castings were piled up on pallets and left to "season." If a particular pallet didn't get shuffled to the front of the line it could have gotten buried in fresh castings and lingered for a while.
