I have a Centerforce dual friction clutch on the way which looks like a diaphragm style pressure plate. Should I remove my clutch pedal over-center spring? How do I take it off? (and how do I put it back on if I change clutches?).

Thanks!

That clutch should be run without an over center spring.

I had good luck taking mine off / putting it on like this- take a long 3/8" extension or two and put a 5/16ish socket on it. The extensions should be about 2ft long altogether. Position the socket on the close side of the spring's hook. Sit in the driver's seat and push, really hard! The long extension let's you get more force on it since it's virtually impossible to remove the spring while lying on your back under the dash. The socket allows the whole thing to locate on the hook end of the spring. Good luck!

Oh and also remove any rubber return pads/ adjusters from the Clutch pedal to give yourself a tiny bit more slack. Every bit helps.
