cheetah shifter cable install?

the question i have is for anyone that has installed the cheetah shifter with the forward faceing cable outlet.did you have to lower your trans to install the cable?if not,a picture of install location through the floor would be much appretiated!my 67 has almost no clearance there and the only way to install it is to lower the trans as i see it.
 
To be able to bolt-in the shifter & not just use chincey sheet metal screws, it needs to be lowered at the rear trans mount, at a minimum, to get enough room for your hand in there... Let alone the cable install... I haven't used any Cheetah Shifters, but any cable style ratchet shifter is like that.... Be carefully if you using rubber motor mounts you can rip them easily.... Make sure to keep the cable far from the headers & pipes also....

thanx.i already bolted the shifter in when the trans and motor where out,i was just woundering if anybody had a trick or something.guess i will just drop it down a bit.
