I'm pleased to inform our friends here at FBBO that our series will continue to be seen on the new MAVTV starting in October. An entirely new season will begin in the spring with some exciting new projects and builders. If you have Direct or Dish, you can add MAVTV to your existing package. If you don't get MAVTV, contact your cable company and tell them you want it!

MAVTV is a new network owned by Lucas Oil. It's a great place for us to bring Chop Cut Rebuild. The vibe is reminiscent of the original Speedvision - a group of car guys operating a network! Perfect. Every week they are adding new automotive programs and acquiring shows you love from SPEED and elsewhere.

I hope you'll all join us at our new home. And if you're upset about the end of SPEED, don't get mad... get MAV!

Dan that's "Good news" but unfortunately we don't get MAVTV here on Comcast were I live... Sounds like a great group to work with, good luck

Never heard on MAVTV. BTW, did they replace the host with someone who knows something about cars?

Dan, thanks for the update. North of the border not sure who will be carrying the network. We'll keep an eye out for it. And I'll respond to the couple of comments on here.... We may not have heard of it because it's NEW. And regarding your knowledge of cars Dan: I'll take a humble likeable host anyday over an arrogant dick :jerk: who pretends to know everything host with a bigger production budget. And if it wasn't for the advertising, as painful as it can be sometime, the programs wouldn't exist. I'll put up with it anyday to have an option to the wives of wherever crap being pushed today. At least something for us car folks. Best of luck with your show. Just be sure to throw in a mopar now and then and we'll be happy. :eek:ccasion14:

I'll 2nd that. :icon_thumleft:

Dan,
Keep asking the questions, and having the guys explain what and why things are done. I enjoy the fact that even though it's all technical, the show keeps the dialog on a level that even the 'newbie' car guy/ gal can comprehend.

Thanks everyone.

We haven't figured out what we'll be doing with Canada yet. Interestingly, CCR qualifies as Canadian content! SPEED is continuing in Canada but, they're only showing programs they own and created.

Lucas Oil has only owned MAVTV for about a year and a half. But, they are revving up efforts to acquire automotive content as fast as possible. They've also increased the subscriber base significantly too. They're now available on Dish and Direct. Verizon is adding them this month and a number of other cable outlets are too. There are some previous programming commitments they must honour to other format producers and distributors. But, the move is happening as fast as possible. Dennis Gage is joining MavTV along with Stacy David.

If you contact your local cable company and tell them you want MavTV because it's now THE Automotive TV destination. They'll get the hint pretty fast. They're not in the business of losing customers.

See you over on MavTV!

Still too many products being hawked on all thw car shows.

Bee, I understand. Still, we have to pay the rent. I know it can be bothersome. But, on the up side, it's mostly companies who have products you probably use or need. It's companies like Magnaflow or TTI. We're not pitching the new Batman movie... Although...Hmmmm. Thanks!

thats cool as hell!i am contacting my cable company right now to see if it will pick up the chanel.love your show and gearz as well,i was hoping someone would pick you guys up.by the way,how much is that lack of automotive know how acting good sir?you sure do seem to pick things up awful fast.

Hey there B Body buds! Just want to let you all know, MavTV is currently running the XP Hemi episodes from Season 7 every Friday and Sunday. This is the project that attracted the most attention we have ever received on CCR. I hope you all get a chance to see it again, and again, and again! If you don't get MavTV in your cable package, contact your provider and tell them.... uh, they are extremely good looking people who probably smell like lilacs and please add MavTV to the line up. Maybe playing the "nice" card will get it done. But, if you like, you can call them and give 'em hell for not having MavTV too!

Any chance that at some point nhra stock/super stock racing will grt coverage. Mav has 23 motorsports related shows and no drag racing coverage. There is a lucas oil drag racing series.you can't possibly tell me that drag boats draw a larger audience than drag racing cars.

I doubt that we'll see any Stock/Super stock racing! I 've heard the owner of Mav TV isn't into the drag racing as heavy as his wife is she handles all of that type racing!

It was on Speed last year - cable 742. I'd assuming it will be the same this year.

Moparsteve, why so negative about what Mav may or may not carry? They have hired Dave Despain, signed a deal with IHRA, and created a complete new rally series with Optima. There's a great deal of racing happening on MavTV and best of all, very little "fake drama". The network's slogan is "American Real" ...not "Reality".

Cheers,
Dan
