I have fixed all the nicks on my taillights, was wondering if it would be better to paint with chrome paint or find a place to rechrome?

The question would be "what you fixed the nicks with". They acid dip to put new chrome on.

I used Bondo's Plastic/Metal, not sure how that would stand up in a acid bath. But I am pretty sure it would not be good.

Unless you want to do it right just pain them.

There are a variety of chrome paints. Prices vary greatly and the supposed 'best' are very pricey. There is also a newer technique that is a spray chrome that is not a paint. I can't vouch for any of the companies and I don't have any experience with it but I have watched a few videos. Here's one of 'em..

risbee, thanks a lot. Now I have to find a place that does this.

Go to ALSA corporation they sell this Chrome paint and I have used it and it is not your "Kentucky Chrome" LOOKS LIKE REAL CHROME!!! You spray the piece black first and then spray layers of the chrome paint on then buff it off and clear it! Ford and I believe Chrysler actually use this same formula for OEM chrome painted plastic parts!
