We got Classic Auto Locks CL 4881C set. Had some real challenge with the door locks. They wouldn’t push in far enough for the spring clip to slide in. Finally compared it with the old lock. The old lock stainless housing was crimped very tightly to the cylinder. The repo was not.
I used a very small flat faced punch to crimp it. Placed the lock on some very firm material like an inner fender splash shield, so it wouldn’t scratch or mar the exterior. Carefully crimped it all around. Installed the lock and the spring clip went in easily.
I think the manufacturer made the error. Not accusing Classic.
