Looking at 70 B bodies and I have a question about the clutch pedal. On some I see the clutch and brake pedals are even and on some the clutch pedal sits higher than the brake pedal.....anybody know why this could be?? And what's normal??

Well I know on my 70 RR the pedals are even and its a factory 4 speed, maybe the others are not original 4 speed from factory or adjusted some way different. Just adding some info.

I know this car started out as a 3 speed and was converted to a 4....but here is a pic of the pedals.

And I know the shifter is wrong also, but that's easy....

Don't worry about where the clutch pedal ends up, just adjust the clutch and run it.

My clutch pedal was lower than the brake pedal with an old Zoom clutch I had, roughly even with my current clutch and higher than the brake pedal with an old Hays clutch. If you need to adjust the clutch so the pedal is 1" or so higher than the brake the over-center spring will make the clutch pedal go all the way up. No big deal.

On my centerforce and zoom clutches i took that spring out.... Counterweights effected it. Would cause the pedal to "stick to the floor" under heavy acceleration between shifts.
Just sayin. Haha
