clutch replacement

Need to change the clutch setup in my 70 roadrunner.

I, was told that you need to support the engine to change out the clutch.

Is it really needed to be supported and what is a good way to do it if you should have to support it.

I've always blocked up the rear of the oil pan. once you pull ther trans there is no rear support for the engine.

Just did one on my '69 and did what Basket said.

Yup, Just use a 2X4 maybe 6in long. your good. Just don't leave it there for a week !! LOL

Careful not to bend in the bottom of your oil pan..........................MO

Not overkill, but best to put supports at both sides of the rear of the engine block. Not at the pan.
