Clutch rod ID

The rod on the right is a 66-70 B-body clutch rod. The rod on the left has the same bend. What's it from?

I've been pondering a similar question, trying to understand the differnce....

I don't think so. I've seen that version of the rod and its real. Just don't totally understand why. I believe it is some kind of rubber damper inserted into the otherwise solid link.
 
I forgot to mention: I've got 3 or 4 just like the one on the left so it's probably an original part.

It looks like the one on my 64 Dodge. And I am sure it is a viberation-noise dampner
 
Dan Brewer told me that the rod is for 66-70 B-bodies with the slant six. I've asked him if he knows why the slant six rod seems to be slightly stronger and has the advantage of vibration reduction.
