Bypass it, as it grounds the starter relay and allows the car to turn over. Installing an earlier 66-69 manual trans starter relay would work too, as that is internally grounded so the second prong on the relay is non existent(or ground your current second lower terminal to the firewall or somewhere else). Then your trigger wire on the harness that energizes the relay to starter would be the only one that needed to be plugged in. Another option would be to use the factory harness and ground the lead that goes to the pedal switch inside the car somewhere so it looks factory. Many ways to skin the cat. I have never messed with the 70 and up wiring, but I wouldn't think it would be too hard.

IOW, just ground the "G" terminal on the starter relay.
