Clutch is wet with oil build up I believe may be leaking by the 4 speed trans input shaft retainer seal.
New seal in the bearing retainer but doesn't appear to be contacting the machine surface of the input shaft.
Doesn't look like the rear main seal on the motor is leaking but, oil is definitely coming from somewhere.

check your oil pressure port on top rear of engine block if its a 440cu. i just had a similar experience and the port nipple worked loose and was only leaking and flowing into bellhousing during engine running

That seal is in backwards. Won’t contain the oil that way.

The flywheel and pressure plate also have some weird heat zones in them wondering what's going on there.
Fixed all oil leaks topside of motor and oil pan so not leaking any there
Waiting ti here from brewers on the pinion housing seal sent them a photo also.

Do you agree that it is in backwards?
Don't really want to replace my rear main seal if it's not necessary. All indications point to the trans leaking oil.
Yes.

Seals like that usually have a spring in them, the spring should face the side containing the oil.

Knucklehead mistake on my part rebuilt the transmission worked excellent except for the oil leaking onto the clutch and pressure plate. Lot of extra work that I didn't need to do.
