Simple question. A pic. would probably be worth 1,000 words.

Where does the stock type coil mount on a 71 Sat. 318 ?

um,... yea. Was hoping for something a little more specific. Like EXACT.

The stock bracket has one mounting bolt higher than another on a stock intake on a Aftermarket intake i don't remember if they do or not .

I went back looking through your posts what is the problem with the coil you have now and where it is at now . By the way i had a 71 RR clone too when i purchased it i was thinking it was real till i opened the hood and looked at the vin it was a 318 .

That's the coil held to the fenderwell with a single, rusty, wood screw. Replaced it tonite with the proper external resistor type coil. Once off, i ran the part number on the above coil. It was from an '86 Ford Aerostar. ....so, i guess that's whats wrong with it. LOL

Right behind that big ole BBD, offset bracket if i remember?

Thanks J. Cower and D. Head ;) Thats exactly where i put it last night. I even have it facing the correct way. Didn't have the proper bracket, but with the addition of a spacer made it fit perfectly.
