I have a question for all the paint guys out there. I'm planning to paint my Roadrunner with a single stage black enamel, i.e., factory paint job. I was also planning on wet sanding and polishing it to get the shine up and imperfections out, but my wet sanding experience has been limited to small jobs like restoring football helmets.

If I rub through the paint, can I just spray some more paint over the damaged area and color sand it in with the rest?

Thanks

paint repair

I have had luck doing it.I sanded aways out from the rubthru with 600 wet and then blew in the spot let it set for a couple days and then sanded the entire area as if it never happened, buffed it and you could never tell.there are tons of variables when it comes to paint and body work but this should work.Hope this helps.
