Column/ash tray bulb question ?

The column and ash tray bulbs. You know, the silver bullet looking ones. They can’t be opened, correct ? What do guys do to replace them ? Because, I rarely see them available anywhere.
 
They come off, the bulb socket is friction fit in the housing. This is an ignition light but should be the same minus the blue cover.

Thank you, both very much. Neither of mine needed replaced. But, bulbs seem to burn out quite often on old cars. I couldn’t get mine to open being afraid I’d damage the wiring. I initially asked, thinking no way the only option is pay $40 for a used one. Thinking it had to open.
 
Got it, had to twist the end of with vise grips. Bulb is 1445 if anyone needs to know in the future.
