I was told that this was a 68 GTX console but I couldn't confirm it? As far as the radio, I was told that this came out of a 70 Super Bee but I have one and I know that this is not what's in my car! Anyone help with identifying these two parts????

Console is `66-7 Charger 4spd with `68 auto top plates. From the part # I'd say the radio is a `70 part.

The radio looks just like a 70 Road Runner, so it could be the '70 Super Bee or Charger also.

Both Consoles are for automatics including the bases. The 4spd base has a big hump on the drivers side with the sweeping chrome that separates the carpet coming completely to the top plate. I can take a picture of my '70 Runner console if you like.

The console plates with the woodgrain center looks to be a C-body layout (burl woodgrain/silver outline), and the one with the ribs would be a '66-'68 B-body excluding evidently a '66-'67 Charger that had a smooth silver center section, as was the final thought on another current 66-67 Charger console question.

Hey Matt, wouldn't that console be a 66 only because that's the only year for the full length version?

You're right Meeps on the full length part but I think the front console in the `67 was still a 2 piece unit. I'm pretty sure anyway.

Has2B, I'm pretty sure that first console is a 4spd, I had a `66 Charger 4 spd last year and I think the extra carpeted bump on the side didn't stick out any farther then that. The automatics don't stick out at all.

I do see what you are saying, but I think it is just an odd angle and the carpet is just sticking out.

The carpet and the bulge on my '70 comes all the way to the top on the driver's side, and if I remember correctly the light ends up being in the carpeted area also.

I will check it out.

It's getting dirty in there, but here it is. If the combo looks funny, the car is a 4spd originally, as you can see the reverse light next to the air grabber switch, and the floor hump and pedals are still in tact. It is has been an automatic for some time as the shifter handles for these are hard to find and hard to pay for when you do find one.

You are correct Has2B! I went back and dug this up. Minus the carpet hump but clearly includes the light. Good call my friend!
