Anybody have a recommendation for someone who can repair and refurbish the top
piece of my console from my 1964 Sport Fury? As you can see, it's broken where the tachometer trim ring attaches. image.jpg

you can Cambridge custom chrome in Cambridge Ontario Canada they 're very good with pot mrtal e mail pictures to them and they will quote you a price they are honest and do good work. they did 3 different cars for me over 30+years Stay away from A1 chrome or JT classic chrome! I'm still trying to resolve my dealings with them

Sent it off to Cambridge. Will repost pics when I get it back.
now if I can only find the correct shift boot for consoles. No luck yet.

An option for the shifter boot might be to look at modern boots for something similar. A buddy wandered through the local Mopar parts department and found a Jeep shifter boot that closely resembled the one for his 64 Savoy. Not exact but may be passable.

The original looks like this and attaches to the console, not the floor.

To fix the pot metal, you can use Muggy weld or similar rods. Not too difficult to do, but you may want to practice on some piece's that are total junk before you do the console.

If you cannot find an original boot, get one custom made out of leather. I'm doing that right now with my Cuda at a local custom auto upholstery shop. Costing me $35.
