Is it possible to convert a center console from an automatic to a 4 speed?

I have a 69 Charger but I think it would be any 68-70 B body console's

I know that you would need the 4 speed top plate, not sure what else?
Has anyone done this?

The stainless trim piece and fiberglass molded panel (covered by carpet) that goes over the hump on the drivers side

You just have to trim your auto one to clear the hump and drill holes for the spring clips to hold the fiberglass part on.

I did it years ago from a complete auto console and a broken up 4 speed one. Just needed the top plate and the molded part with the trim piece

Good luck

I have that same dilemma now. I'm converting my 70RR from console auto to 4 speed. Still haven't decided if i'm going to keep the console. I was trying to figure out if i could just cut out the auto top plate to fit the 4 speed boot and trim ring. Other option is to sell the console, offset some of my conversion costs, and put in a buddy seat/armrest.

There's a thread showing how to do just that over at DC.com but I don't have the link handy anymore. It is pretty well documented though.
