Good morning, im trying to figure out the last couple things on my engine. Hope to start it up next weekend. Will be the first time in 12 years. My last parts are coming in from 440 source on Tuesday

I have aftermarket water temp gauge that i know the sender use to go in the water pump. I removed the plugs from the water pump (got lucky with 2 out of 3) So now I need to make sure that I just need a adapter fitting to go in the largest diameter hole and the other two will have the pipes for the heater core. Am i correct?

Second issue is the oil pressure gauge, I see the sending unit on the back of the block, but i don't have any wires left over to connect to it. Does my 1968 roadrunner require a sending unit?

The aftermarket oil pressure line with brass fitting....I think it goes opposite of the sending unit (there is a plug in there now) so I assume i need another brass fitting adapter.

Upgrade that plastic oil line with copper,or you could have a big mess, and yes take the other plug out and get a fitting to hook oil pressure line to

1st question, yes the other hole is for your second nipple to the heater core.

2nd question is just like red69runner specified. Your 68' roadrunner used that sender to operate the "oil" dummy light in your gauge cluster. All it's good for is alerting you to bad oil pressure. Never been a big fan of bringing oil inside the car (had an oily mess inside a car once), but wanted to let you know they have electronic oil sender's and gauges these days. Probably twice as much as the oil driven mechanical ones, but they work good. Put one in my bird last year.

Good luck with the rest of your project! 12 years in the making, I can imagine you have to be pretty excited.
