Coronet gas tank

I'm putting a new gas tank on my 67 Coronet 500. How does one get the vent tube out of the old tank, or does a new one come in a new tank?

Got a hold of the guy that I ordered the tank from, he said a vent tube comes already installed. Dave

Yes, vent tube is in new tank,and connects with rubber elbow to vent tube . I put a new tank in my 67 Satellite and wondered the same thing till the new tank came.

Yup, the vent tube are in already, thank goodness.

I don't remember for sure, but I think they go 3/4 of the way into the tank.
