Coronet wagon frame connectors

This is a 68 Coronet wagon. Are those aftermarket frame connectors or did the factory ad them to the 9 passenger wagons for added support? Also did they offer the 440 in the wagons? I thought the 383 was the biggest engine and 440s were saved for the C-bodies?

The frame connectors are aftermarket.

440s were only available in C body wagons.

What is the 5th letter of the VIN?

That's what I thought thanks. Not my wagon. It's a 383 ac car for sale I think in Colorado. Saw it posted on FB.

That's what I was thinking. Car looks complete, running and driving, a little bodywork and a good cleaning. It would be a great garage parts chaser.
