Looking in my service manual (pic below) I'm trying to identify the correct driveshaft for my 68 Charger R/T 440 4spd with a Dana. My question is: does the driveshaft suppose to have the inertia ring on the front of the shaft? Of course my shaft is the only one in the book without a comment after it. My car came with two shafts (not the correct length) but both have the ring on the shaft. I know it would be a 3" dia shaft with the larger universal joints. Anyone have an unmolested car with this setup for conformation of the shaft type?
