I am swapping out a Holley 4160 carb and I noticed that the old 4160 (that I did not install, and was on car when I bought it) currently has the PCV valve hose connected to the port on the rear of the carb, which Holley refers to as the “Power Brake Vacuum Port”.
The power brake booster vacuum hose is currently connected to a vacuum port located on top of the intake manifold.
Should I be switching these two connections? Or does it not matter which of these two hoses is connected to which of the two ports? I would think both ports are technically “manifold vacuum ports”. One is just located on the carburetor in the other is located on the intake manifold. Is this correct that either PCV or Power brake booster can use either of these two ports?
