I am wanting to check if my water pump pulley is the correct one for my set-up. I have a 440 non-ac car that I added a vintage air kit too. My water pump pulley is double groove, 6” in diameter, 2-3/4 deep. The part number on the pulley I have is 38979. Should the Water pump pulley for an AC be smaller diameter? My car runs hot during the summer months in Oklahoma and wondering if maybe my pulley is not small enough. My set-up is the power steering, water pump and crankshaft pulley are on one belt and the AC, crankshaft and alternator are on the other belt.
