I was all done with the latest project of replacing the aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gauge...or so I thought. I have one gauge inside (new one) and one at the engine. I replaced the crappy plastic line with new copper line. Well I had to adjust the angle on the outside gauge in order to get a straight shot with the new line. Fired it up...leak at gauge/fittings at the engine. Ok I must have loosened something up while I was messing around. I tightened the fittings. They were a little loose. Fired up....same thing. I went through those fittings about 3 times off/on when I finally realized that one of the fittings was CRACKED. Replaced it and all is good.

Did you route the copper so it will not work harden and crack from flexing
