Had 15x7 with 4"BS with L60 15" tires (today's tire size 255/70 R15) rubbed on my 66 Satellite with air shocks with 60 psi. That's why I posted 4.5" BS, 4.75" even better.

I have 15x8 wheels with 4.75 inch backspace 275/60/15 drag radials and no rubbing.
