Crank?

I have an engine that was attached to a four speed but I have an 727 auto.............does this matter. I noticed it has a bearing at the end of the crank that was four the 4 speed, do I remove that or just leave it there or will it not work for an auto? I don't think it matters but just making sure. Will not matter, should not have to remove it either.

that is a pilot bearing. its for the input shaft on a 4 speed.
