I have a 1966 Satellite with a 1970 383 big block.
I am using the Mopar Performance black valve covers with an oil cap on the drivers side and the pcv valve on the passenger side.
What I want to know is by using a breather cap on each valve cover where the knock out holes are, will the engine run better than not having them at all.

Thank you for any information.

Run better? Well, having the PCV will help keep oil from puking all over your engine compartment. Just having the breathers and no PCV valve won't be enough but as for running, it won't do much if anything in the way it runs.
