Creative push button start?

Anyone think its possible to use the washer button in a 68 Coronet as a push button start switch? My car was a race car so the interior except the dash is all long gone so not concerned about fancy options like wipers. Dont have any original wiring or the keyed ignition switch either.

Sure, use it to turn on the relay. Clever idea by the way. Reason I say that is I took exactly one of those buttons and made a remote starter out of it. Works great.

Same here. never had an issue
