Ok this is more of a question on how much it would cost to get a set of Dakota Digital gauges installed. The guy I did the 5.7 LS swap for now wants me to install a set of Dakota gauges. It doesn’t look terribly hard to do and I know I could do it. But I just don’t know what a fair price would be to charge him. If anyone has had this work done to their ride I’d like a ballpark of what it cost. Thanks in advance. Any money I make doing these side projects will fund my next Mopar. Hopefully I won’t have to sell it this time.

Pick a fair hourly rate ($50) and charge him time and material.
Ok thanks. Did some googling. One guy says he did his in about 8 hours. As long as I don't have to go hunt adapters and crap like that I'm pretty sure it can be done in less time. As long as I don't have to go hunting pieces and parts to make it work. But on the other hand I don't want to screw myself doing it too fast. lol I may use the time of 8 hours as a starting point in negotiations.. :)

I would put it at 6 hrs first time plus 2 hrs book time. Second attempt, 4 hours. Steering wheel needs to drop . Do you know how to unbutton the factory dash. I do now. You need 12+ constant, 12+ ignition, ground to battery, ground wire all the way back to the fuel sender. Bring your readers also.
