I am installing a Dana 60 in place of my 8 3/4 and was wondering if I had to change out my driveshaft. I have a couple drive shafts in storage that have the large round collar from various big block 68-70 b bodies. Just not sure if there were any critical differences or issues in using the 8 3/4 shafts.

Thanks!

I suppose (in lieu of cutting the shaft down), there is no shorter front slip yoke available to use on a stock 8 3/4 shaft with a Dana rear? One inch...?? Crazy. Next question, what is a ballpark $$ for having the DS shortened/ balanced? And what type of shops do this... machine shops??
