I just pulled gauge cluster on my 72 RR rallye dash (thanks for help) to work on speedo. Everything went pretty smoothly but now the left side dash lights aren't working. Everything on right including parking brake light and turn signal work but nothing on left. It's definitely not the bulbs or cluster bulb housing (i tested them before plugging them back in). All fuses look good. I have wiring diagrams and will pour over those but thought someone might have dealt with this before. Thanks.

I just had this issue and it turned out to be the 3 amp fuse that covers the lights on the left side of the cluster. The fuse actually looked good, but I replaced it anyway and that fixed it.

Where is the 3 amp fuse? In the fuse block? I have all 20 amp and a couple 5 amp.

On my '69 charger it was the end fuse in the fuse block (the one that's the furthest from the glove box opening). I think all other fuses in mine are 20 except this one.

Yep, same here on my '70, but I only have one 3-amp fuse for the dash lights, not two like you might have. (I'm not sure on '72's)

I hope you don't mind me asking. On the 72 Rallye dash how many bulbs were there for the speedo and tach. I only ask because I found a bulb hanging under the dash. I have lights but the speedo and tach are dim so I thought there might be 2 bulbs and one had just fallen out. Thanks. Ryan

I have a non-tach rallye dash but I have just one bulb on speedo (they are notoriously dim). What color is the wire on the extra bulb?

I have the exact same problem on my 70 RR dash - but on the right side. Can't see any of the smaller gauges after the speedo.

its an orange wire. Do you know if there is a brighter bulb or led equivalent.

The simplest fixes are to just drive in the daytime only, or drive with an eye patch over the eye on the side where the lights are out.

I'm pretty certain the LED equivalent for a 57 bulb (the instrument lights) is a BA9s led bulb. I've never actually used one but they appear to be interchangeable. They cost $1.50. Try one and let me know. :)
