My upholsterer thinks she can cover this if I get it smooth. Any ideas or does anyone have a good one for a 62 Plymouth or Dodge?
 
If she is just going to wrap it and not recover it than you can use HD spray foam to fill the hole and cheese grater file to file it down to the level of the original vinyl. For the cracks you could try a 2 part epoxy and then place the part under a board with weights or clamp to get it as close to original form as possible. Once the epoxy sets up file down any remaining high spots.
 
Did fibernew do that? I used to do work like that. Looks good.
 
That looks very nice as compared to what you started with.
 
Does anyone looking at this know what colour the Fury badge should be? Looks like it might have been gold for Golden Commando
