What is the easiest way to remove the dash pad on a 70 coronet? Thanks

There is no "easy" way- but the least painful way (short of pulling the dash out of the car) is to remove glove box & door, loosen heat controls and leave dangling, remove instrument cluster. Up behind the pad sunk into the recess of the dash is a row of 6 or 8 (I've seen both) pal nuts securing pad to dash. Some you can get to with a nut driver, some take a 1/4" ratchet, extension,u-joint & socket to get to.Getting them out is the easy part-starting them back on can be a bitch. The job is a royal PITA; but it can make aworld of difference. Good luck, keep us posted! (And if I'm wrong, correct me!)
