Dash removal.

Going to paint the dash sometime soon ('65 Bevedere) and looking for some info on pulling it. It appears that the windshield needs to pulled for the top bolts come out. Is this correct? Any other particulars/advice would be appreciated too.

You are correct about the windshield having to come out. I just pulled the dash in my '64 Dodge and it came apart quite quickly and easily. Mind you I had everything else already stripped from the dash area. I think there are three braces from underneath that also need to be undone and you have to undo your steering column mounting bolts (4) so it can slide past. I'm probably missing something since there were two of us attacking it but you get the idea. Good luck.

I painted cmine with the dash in place, just remove the windhield dash molding and tape up the windshield neatly. Once you put back the mo9lding, it looks perfect. Dont waste your time pulling it. Heres mine before and after being painted.
