This doen't belong on FBBO but this 68 Cuda is presently standing in the way of my 70 Bee resto and it's crunch time after waiting for bodyman to get motivated (4 YEARS) I've never liked the look of the a body dash, so I set out to create what I wanted. What you see represents two solid days of work. The dash will be finished in satin black pebble grain on top side of bend and argent siver on bottom and I will leave the welds instead of flush grinding. This car is about as far as you can get from stock!

That already looks cool, you do some good work and it shows. Should be a nice set up when you finish! Good luck with it and may be a A-Body but i sure wouldn't mind seeing what this its going in.. It is a MOPAR! Are you using the regular gauges or some maybe new type ones?

that looks cool.like the look of the welds around the guages. Are you going to paint them like a trim ring?

Dash board

I'm going to go with a pebble grain upper in satin black and an argent silver lower leaving the gauge pods polished aluminum or argent silver haven't decided. The welds will bet painted to the above color scheme but you'll still be able to tell that this dash was hand fabricated. I've welded a good share of custom aluminum one off parts over the years and it always made my skin crawl when the customer asked for the welds to be smooth ground finished These pods will be filled with Auto Meter Pro Comp black face :eusa_think:gauges

you will definitly have to show us pictures when you get it done.

This car is a character, the purist would be flat out pissed at what I did to it but it's all mine! It still has basically stock interior except for this dash and the console that I will be fabricating shortly. LED turn signals and hi beam indicators just showed up so I'll be able to get them in by this weekend as well. I'm thinking it should be in paint by Sunday?
