dash switches 69 road runner

can any body give me suggestion on how to get switch cluster in the dash pad. the dash is out it would seem to be easy put my is not and I broke my 3 speed wiper switch in the process . Help !!!! does the switch bar go all the way into dash pad.

I remember when I did mine, I tweaked the metal on he dash that runs between the switches, because I pryed the switch panel up on one side while taking it out. I ended up bending it back a little so that the switch panel would drop in. The cutouts for the switches to fit through are tighter than you would think and the bend easily.

I would have somone drop it in as straight as possible, while you look at it from behind (since you have the dash out) to see where it's interfering.

that's not problem the do not fit in dash. pad does it go always down in dash pad?
