Deacon Jones NFL Hall Of Fame Defensive End, Rams of the fearsome foursome died @ age 74 a couple days ago, I'm surprised it wasn't already on here.... May he Rest In Peace, he was a very colorful guy, always laughing & telling jokes or smiling, he was the "sack master", long before those types of stats, were even kept, he also did many Miller Light Commercials, remember, "great taste, it's less filling, no great taste, no it's less filling"...LOL... a bunch of NFL Films documentaries etc. & many years in the NFL...

Thats really to bad he really was a nice kind guy. As a kid 18-20 years old I had a job that I would pickup retired and active atheletes from there hotels to take them to a autograph signing session (convention). At the conventions I would sit at the tabels with them and hand them the correct pen for the item that they were going to sign or take the picture of them and the fan. Really it was a cool job I had gotten to meet allot of hall of fame atheletes. All of them loved to talk and tell stories. Believe it or not often I would even have lunch with them when I took them back to there hotel. Now that I am thinking of those days what great job it really was. Many I have never heard of because they were before my times but I did get a free autograph from everyone I worked with. Anyhow he was a great guy down to earth and just had fun doing what he as doing.

Too bad. He was fun to watch - both on the field and in retirement.

So, is Rosie Greer the only member of the Fearsome Foursome left now? I picked him up at the airport once. Interesting guy and still a larger than life character even at an older age.

Enjoyed watching the Rams and the fearsome foursome back in those days. Deacon Jones was a great player and from everything I've heard about him, a great guy. RIP Mr. Jones.

64BEL I think your right about Rosie, I think he's the last survivor of the fearsome foursome, they have all died, way to young...
