Decal for Air Grabber

Hello, what is the proper way to put an AG door decal that covers the hinge pin on a 71-72 AG ? It seems kind of difficult to get the decal towards the back of the door once the backing is removed . I know of course it has to be open

Use a hardware store spring to hold the scoop open (attach near vacuum canister). Snake the side decals back up in there, press firmly, & carefully trim around the hinge pin. The little circle of decal that covers the hinge pin should line up with the rest of the decal when the scoop is fully open.

Otherwise, take off the scoop, apply decals, cut out circles over hinge pin holes (but back onto decal backing to keep adhesive good), re-install scoop & carefully attach the circles you cut out onto the hinge pins with the scoop fully open.
