I was at a local boneyard the other and in the very back in the weeds I came across a car truck looking thing. Luckily it still had the badges and it said Desoto firedome on the side. It looked like a car front with a pickup box. I popped the hood and the block was there and the driverside head still bolted on. It looked to be some size of Hemi motor. I did some research and as far as I can tell they were only made overseas. Anybody know anything about these things? Thanks.

People have been making pickups out of cars since forever.
I'd like to see a pic of this DeSoto rendition.

I didn't have a camera or phone with me for a picture. I'll be going back soon. He's got a cool late 30s REO truck that I might buy. Ill take pictures then.

Cadillac, and to a lesser extent Lincoln (and much, much lesser, Imperial/Chrysler) made funeral "Flower cars".

#3 looks a little suspect, though RE the rear wheel openings.
