Ron, I don't mean to sound cynical about this, but... what about those other 19 guys who died with him that day? I wonder how this is going over with the families of all the other fallen Navy vets.

The Metal of Honor isint just givin away, its awarded, So i can only guess and i wont do that.. I to thought about it, i always do when i see a story like this.

From what I read, the only way to get radio contact for help was to go into the "hot zone" and risk his life to save the lives of his team. There is a book written that explains this mission in detail. Hits close to home as my son just signed a Navy seal contract and leaves in February.

it said on the news that they came across three sheep hearders, and they were worried that they might let the talban know about them, but they didn't kill them. Then it ended up costing the lives of 19 of our Servicemen. Not ot take anything away from this man's bravery, but I just can't get past the thought that if they had taken care of the sheep hearders.....

short of killing them, at least detained them. didn't say it was right, just would've kept 19 our or Men from dieing.
