Guys, I know RM is Roadrunner and RS GTX.
I also know what RH21 / RH23 are but what differences has RL21G0 to RH21G0?
RH21G0 is a 1970 318ci Satellite and a bbody, RL21G0 is still a 1970 318ci satellite (or belvedere) :)

right, the only difference is the H is for high price range and the L for low price range. It's likely the L code is for a base Belvedere, most Satellites are high price codes

I'm no expert, but that makes sense. My '70 Roadrunner is RM

Yeah, now that I look more closely, mines RL21F9A... according to my sources:
RL = belvedere
21 = 2 door post
A = awesome
F = friggin'
9 is how many beers the assembly line crew consumed during lunch.

according to my sources

Did they make a RL21 with 426 Hemi? :)

No, in 69, belvederes were only available with a 383 as the top motor. Hemis were only available in GTX and roadrunner. I believe same is true for 440's.

This gives you an idea of what engine was available on which model. Though I've heard / read about special order / executives cars being exceptions.

Yeah and the 440 was only available in the GTX until the mid year A-12 six pack came out. Before the A-12, roadrunner only had 2 options, the 383 rr engine and the Hemi

I have a 1973 RL21.

Some of the "base" items that are notable versus what I've seen on RH cars of the same year-

1- no carpet. That's right it has a floor mat. Front and rear full mat, cut just like carpet, but it's rubber.

2- no day/night inside rear view mirror. Single position.

3- no drip rail molding, belt line or wheel lip molding. It does have body side molding.

4- tiny, non-remote driver's side external rear view mirror. About as big as a 50 cent piece!

5- no wood grain...anywhere. Cluster and pass side insert are silver over black.

6- base "taxicab" steering wheel.

7- "thin- no padding" door panels and seat foam. Taxicab, again. Not super comfortable.

8- no sway bar or even mounts (not pertinent to earlier years), K frame is actually built different.

9- single note horn.

10- no fender turn indicators

11- no inside hood release

12- no light for ignition key. Column is actually different.

That's all I can think of right now.

I thought of one or two more- no catch can for radiator and no clutch fan.

I'm not sure when clutch fans came in, but it strikes me as very odd that there's no overflow can on a factory A/C car.

It's even a little odd that the car is such a stripper, without even carpet, but has A/C.

My favorite part is how the data sheets above list directional signals as standard. No mention of brakes... must've been dealer option.

My 69 RL41 has 318, 11" brakes, sway bar and outside remote mirror as options. Had rubber carpet, painted dash without woodgrain or plastic trim, radio delete, no clock. Narrow rocker moldings are only outside trim, no drip rail mouldings.

No clock either.

Thanks for reminding me.
