Occasionally, when I put on my signal lights or step on the brakes, my radio crackles and the motor conks out (just for 1/2 second) but keeps running. This means that there is probably a short somewhere between the turn signal, radio and brake lights. Where do I start to solve this problem?

Just a thought but does your car have a good body ground sounds like the ground might be seeking it's connection through your radio ant . But anyways I would check all grounds for good continuity.

I agree, check all grounds, be sure there is a ground from battery to sheet metal as well as engine to chassis, you can never have enough grounds on these cars

I agree to check the grounds. That was a good observation punk.
