Director Tony Scott won't be down because he did come down......

proof that fame and fortune don't always = happiness...

Yup, jumpin off a bridge will usually do it. At least he didn't turn himself into a vegatable for his family to have to take care of the rest of his "life".

"Suicide, a permanent soloution to a temporary problem"
Well,
He left a "letter" but the context has not been released.
He was a "GREAT" director.
Top-Gun
Days of Thunder
Unstoppable, just to name a few.
Top-gun was a great movie AND his last movie "Unstoppable" was truly exciting with magnificant photography/scenery and a non-stop action packed thriller.

I agree.....if you discoun t what an A$$HOLE tom cruise has become, then top gun is awesome. OR if you discount him altogether, it's an awesome movie. That's hard to do, so I usually just vomit.

Condolences to Tony Scott's family. He jumped to his death(suicide) leaving a new legacy of pain & sorrow for his Family....

Good point RustyRatRod:
Yeah, Mimi Rodgers had him "pegged" 3 months into their marrige. She "DUMPED" him!

Indeed. I've always thought suicide was one of the most selfish act a person can do.

Brain Cancer supposedly, but suicide is just sad, for the surviving family, RIP Tony Scott, I'm no Tom Cruise fan "at all", Risky Business was probably his best movie, I love the Line "who was the U-Boat Captain", long before he got too big of a head & went over the top, with the worshiping El Rod Hubbard crap, always the wimpy "short man" playing, a "big tough man" parts/rolls is just dumb, all his wives were 6" taller than him...LOL... but Tony Scott's, Top Gun & Days Of Thunder were decent movies too...

A little off topic, but my favorite movie that Cruise was in is Rainman. Where Tom played an egotistical, self-centered jerk. Not a big stretch for him.

Now the family is coming out saying "he didn't have brain cancer", I guess maybe the media is still spreading lies :icon_fU: , just to sensationalize the story or something...
