I'm doing a 64 Savoy with manual brakes and am wanting to convert to disc so the stopping will happen. What's the swap parts on this and what components do i need? Thanks

scotts74birds, , that's the ticket . And to make it even easier......use everything from a A-body car, like discs, calipers, brackets, hoses, master cylinder, proportioning block, spindles, bearings, grease cups, and even the dust shields. And you can even get a brake line set up for the '62-'65 b-body to fit your A-body stuff...it so easy. I used everything from a '74 A-body dart. When I go to the parts store for brake parts, no matter what it is, all I have to remember is it's for a '74 Dart. You can even use your brake rod from your '64 single pot master cylinder.... I had that confirmed in a earlier post.....hope this helps.:grin::grin:

Sounds like were good to go. I probably have 7 of those set ups out in the field so were on. Thanks guys. I hang mostly over on FABO but i'll be here a little more often as we've started on this 64 post project. Thanks guys.

I'll post some up. Which thread you want em in? Dont hang here much and dont see a restoration thread. Maybe in the 62-65 section.

Submit them in "user cp" at the top of this page. "view photos by: Small Block" will show up under your name at the left of your posts like mine and everyone can check them out. :)

There are some over on FABO in the general section in the thread "I've got to do it"

Hey Small Block, forgot to mention that I got all my brake lines from Right Stuff, and when I needed tech , they helped me out a lot.... When you get around to installing the A-body brakes on your '62-'65 B-body, just let them know, and they have the lines already made up to fit the A-body disc brakes, on the B-body cars. Still have to tweak a little here and there but pretty simple, and alot easier than trying to fab your own......hope this helps ya out.
