With no plans to install a radio, and unwilling to dish out big money for the real-deal, I realized a cheap delete plate could be made from a spare (broken) glovebox door. Some automotive 3M 2-sided tape will hold it in place.
There is enough material left over to make another, if anyone is interested in doing the same.

Heck, yeah! Everybody with a '66 or '67 has a spare glovebox door hanging around.

Thinking outside the box does it again. Well done.

Awesome budget fix and I'm sure a lot of guys out there with butchered clusters will find this info handy. Why do people chop up the dash to mount a din style radio?

Nice job.
I did one-piece radio/heater delete plate in my WO car. It's been in there for a decade, and nobody notices it's not the original stuff.
