69 Super Bee…. Having issues with aftermarket steering wheel horn button. Horn was working fine until i removed the steering wheel to look at signal switch. Couldn’t get that far, so put wheel and horn button back on…. Now no horn. Tried this process 1/2 dozen times with the horn intermittently going on… I believe it burned up. My question: after removing wire from the horn (which was HOT), do i need to leave the 3 wires plugged into the relay? I would like no further HOT issues until i can get into the steering column. The horn wire in the column broke off during my last try, so probably touching enough to always sending signal to horn.
Do i need the relay to remain plugged in with the 3 wires?
There is 12v on 2 of the terminals while car is off.

Unplug that relay or it will drain your battery.

Just pull all 3 wires? Will anything else not function?
I take that back. There are four wires going to the relay three of them combined in one connector one by itself.

It is called a horn relay because it relays power to the horns. And that's all.

It has 4 wires, they are for:
constant power in
wires to each horn (2)
Ground signal from the column

So nothing else disturbed if unlug all wires?

Thanks guys.
