Trying to decide wether or not to have the vinyl half(or 3/4) top redone on the satellite. Originally it was whire with a kind of crimson vinyl roof to match the plaid of the interior, but that color scheme scares me. I'm afaid it will endup looking like a "pimpmobile".But I plan on having the interior redone completely original. So I was thinking of changing the paint up a bit....thoughts?

When have you ever SEEN a white car with a red roof?

I say go original. EVERYONE will be looking at your car, and you can say "yes, that's the way it's supposed to be"

I agree with 69 runner. Put it back to original.

I agree that the original top would make it stand out. All white = kitchen appliance.

need a hot chick with a matching schoolgirl plaid uniform for the photoshoot when youre finished.

I too voted for the Red top. If you were going to do a White vinyl top you may as well just PAINT it white as you would hardly notice the white vinyl other than it would just look a little dull compared to the white paint.

I also agree with the school girl plaid skirt picture, maybe without a blouse, Oh, wait, then no one would notice the matching skirt let alone the car.

If only you knew how easily this can and will be done. I have alot of friends that do Ratrod/ Hot rod/ Pinup girl modeling, and they are very sweet and refuse my money when I offer to pay them. And yes, a few will do nudes as well..............

First picture is the car at home, the second is one of Ace Talkingwolf's girls at the rod show I entered my car in last year. AS you can see hechanged the depth of the color of the car for "proffessional photo purposes"

I say dark red with a black top.. Kinda plain, but i like the vinyl.. Just not white vinyl

I agree dark red with a black top would look awesome, but my problem is this.....

The white vinyl of the seats is in great condition. Not one single rip or tear, just kinda dirty , but still completely plyable. So really all I would need to do to fix the interior up to be damn near perfect is find an upholstery shop that can just redo the cloth inserts of the seats and stitch them to the original vinyl. But, if the interior were screwed, I would black it out, dark red paint, black top, and a Mr. Gasket hood scoop with exposed butterflies out the hood:grin:....granted it would be on a 318, but damn that would look good....

OH and crager classic SS wheels.......oooohhhh yyyyyeeaaahhhhh

Any GOOD interior shop should be able to put new inserts in your seats. I use a guy here who does (mostly) scratch leather interiors for Porsches and Mercedes. He did an insert on the original driver's seat in my Six Pack Challenger using the same size thread as original, same color, same spacing, and you couldn't tell it from the original piece when he was done.

:grin:Roll on truck bed liner, lots of colors to choose from.
