68bee70rr Sorry I'm no where near there either, it looks to be pretty nice though, not very many photos of the car to critique' from, has he sent you other photos ??, like the trans cross member where the torsion bars attach, of the trunk floor or underside of the area under the rear windshield, of the corners under the front windshield, the lower quarters behind the rear wheels & the edges of the rear wheel wells, the front fenders behind the tires on the bottoms, the front floor boards, the cowl with tons of leafs etc., issues usually because of old dried out leaky rubber seals, leaf accumulations & rock chips, all those areas are also very prone to rust {if you didn't know that already}.... Also Las Vegas is a "really dry area" of the South West, if the car originated from there, it could be a very good, nearly rust free car, being a RR BB 4spd., I'm sure it has been run hard & putt away wet, most all of it's life.... Good luck & Happy Moparing meep meep $22K is about the right money...

From what I see the car is located in boulder city which is a distance from LV. My advise i to find a appraiser and pay him the money if you don't find somebody that lives there.

Looks like a great car Brad, I think for that money someone you can trust to look it over good is a good idea, I know you know all the areas from your projects, that i hope is going well! Hope you find someone, good luck.

Why didn't the seller post the VIN# in his auction?

I'd ask to see a pics of the vin and the fender tag. Just to make sure the car is what he is presenting it as.
Is it a factory 4 speed car? Factory N96 air grabber car? Factory R6 red?

Fender tag and vin will answer many ????'s

Good luck

PS, when in doubt, $300 for an inspection/appraisal can be money well spent. I had my 69 Roadrunner inspected before any deal was made.
(car was in Washington State, I'm in Wisconsin)

Check www.moparsoflasvegas.net and contact a local member. Don't buy without someone looking at it. Good luck.

I'm not affiliated with the Club but have emailed Smilin' Ed the President in the past.

PM me with the name of the seller and I may be able to help you.
What are your plans to get it back there?

69redrunner i posted a pic of fender tag he sent me.

The car is actually in North Las Vegas, not Boulder City NV. The guy who put it on ebay for him lives in Boulder City.

Well,

A4 paint code is Silver Metallic
J25 is 3speed wiper, which is correct for an air grabber car
N85 is dash tachometer
N96 is air grabber
D21 I believe is 4 speed
H2X is black bench seat
R11 is music master AM radio

So, according to the references I have,(paul herd roadrunner, charger, superbee restoration guide) the car has been painted and should be silver.
Does the last 6 digits of the vin match the numbers in the fender tag?

Maybe some other members can add more insight.

Darter6 thanks for all the help. I talked to Eddie at the other club you mentioned. He gave it a big GO as he does know the car and the owner is one of his members. Nice guy too btw. Just wanted to say thanks for the help.

Glad to hear things are working out. Hope you have good luck on finding a compentent shipper and you get it safe and sound.Ed knows the cars around here and sounds like you got yourself a good one.
