I need a new seat of door hinges for the drivers side on my 69 Coronet. Would all B bodies such as Charger, Coronet, Road Runner have the same hinges? What years would they be the same such as 1968-1969?

Thanks,
Mark

You should be able to use 66 - 70 B body hinges from, from any of the charger, coronet, belvedere families 2 or 4 door or station wagon. The hinges are the same from drivers to passengers side also. You won't be able to use the back door hinges from a 4 door or station wagon.

Yes........you are right, just flipped. I rebuilt the hinges in my 69RR and 68Coronet and it was pretty simple to do. They open-close and hold like brand new. $50 bucks from Megaparts.

Could save you a couple hundred bucks off buying the AMD set. Just throwing it out there..Good luck

I've always used ones from 4 doors. A bodies are the same too. smaller doors, less weight, not worn out like the heavey 2 door B body ones.

Lets see, 50.00 to rebiuld your originals or 250.00 for a set of China hinges. Hummm :violent-smiley-100:

I used the rebuild kit from Mega also. It works good and is an easy repair.

How hard is it to replace just the spring part? Mine is nice and tight but the door won't stay open!

Not hard...Take the time to figure out the best angle to pry the spring out of place, use a decent large screw driver or brake drum tool and pop them out. You'll not only have to do some prying over, but up/down as well. Clean and lubricate the rollers while you're at it. Replace if needed. Also check for cracks...I've had a couple B-Bodies over the years that had cracked lower hinges.

Good luck.

Actually I don't think mine even has a spring! How tough is installing the spring?

What about the rollers? Mine are very loose & worn out looking..does anyone sell them?
